We are glad to invite everyone to our exhibition, hosted by Recikli bicycle workshop and the
Istituto Italiano di Cultura Budapest.
On the 9th of May 2020, one of the most iconic road cycling event the Giro D'italia, will take place in Budapest. Although it’s already a great honor, the first three stages will also be a great occasion
for the hungarian cycling culture to show off how it’s connected in thousand ways to Italy.
On Thursday (6th of May) before the first stage (Grande Partenza) of the Giro D’Italia, an exhibition will open in the Xenia room of the Italian cultural institute, Budapest. The exhibition will display rare items from various periods of the Italian bicycle building. The exhibited bicycles are all from a personal collection which gives insight to the past decades of the Italian design
and technical innovations
“This exhibition is a loose selection from the base of the modern italian cycling, which is already a huge part from what we call global cycling culture, because Italy itself is the home of bicycle building” - highlighted
Gabor Molnar the owner of the collection and the manager of the also 10 years old Recikli bicycle workshop.
About Recikli bicycle workshop
The Recikli is a bicycle workshop in the old fashioned meaning. The shop is the pride of Gabor Molnar - Munyi -, retired bicycle messenger and collector of italian bicycles.
“From the beginning we made sure, only high quality and safe bikes leave our shop. Because of this our workshop very quickly became popular around the bike messengers and the cycling scene of Budapest. But Recikli Isn’t only a workshop. You can also find bicycle parts and accessories in our shop as well as fully refurbished complete bicycles brought from Italy.”
Recikli isn’t only a shop, but also with regular cycling related events, group rides, even with occasional
movie nights, it has become a social club too.
We would love to see everyone in the opening ceremony to celebrate with us the cycling itself, the italian cycling history and the past 10 years of Recikli!
